Hiring a Remodeling Contractor

I’ve heard plenty of horror stories about remodeling contractors. Better yet, I’ve seen some horrible work done by bad contractors. The word Contractor in general is labeled dishonest or unreliable. It’s frustrating knowing you work for a company that not only you can trust but that really cares about their clients. A home remodeling project is not only a huge investment but it’s also a big undertaking, and the key to its success is the performance of the contractor you hire. A homeowner has to place a lot of trust in the people that enter into their home. We take pride in our work and our desire to make our clients happy. It helps to be aware of things to look for when hiring a remodeling contractor.

Here are a few tips:

• Hire a licensed contractor
• Check references and follow up with previous homeowners about experience and schedules. Did the contractor meet all of their expectations and did they follow and meet a schedule?
• Verify the contractors insurance
• Make sure you have a written contract and that you understand all the terms of the agreement
• Experience. Ask the contractor about their work and a project that is similar to yours
• Business Stability. How long has the contractor been in business?

I really like the dear information you offer in your articles. I'm able to bookmark your site and show the kids check out up here generally. I'm fairly positive they're likely to be informed a great deal of new stuff here than anyone else! Good wishes from http://www.mikefitzpatrick.com/.
